RSG Certified Refurbished

A large share of what we sell is genuine Sensormatic and Checkpoint equipment that we refurbish ourselves. Certified Refurbished is the standard behind that: every unit is inspected and depot tested by RSG technicians before it ships, and anything that fails testing never reaches a box.

What Certified Refurbished Means

• Genuine equipment. Refurbished means original Sensormatic or Checkpoint hardware, not lookalikes. The tags, detachers and pedestals work exactly like the ones already in your store.
• Depot tested by our technicians. Every unit is inspected and tested in our depot before shipping. Tags are checked for detection and lock function, systems are powered and tested before they ship.
• Guaranteed. The same policies cover refurbished and new, spelled out below.

The Guarantees

• 30 day replacement guarantee on all merchandise. If a unit is defective, we replace it.
• 30 day returns. Most merchandise sold online can be returned within 30 days in original condition. Details on our shipping and returns page.
• 1 year warranty on installed systems. Detection systems professionally installed by RSG technicians carry a full one year warranty.

Why Stores Buy Refurbished

Three reasons come up on nearly every call. First, matching what you already run: if your store has Sensormatic or Checkpoint pedestals, refurbished genuine tags and hardware are guaranteed compatible, and matching AM or RF technology is the one rule you cannot break. Second, availability: many proven models are no longer manufactured, and refurbished is how you get them. Third, cost: refurbished genuine equipment costs meaningfully less than new while doing the same job.
