Start With the Technology

For a new liquor store system we typically recommend RF (8.2 MHz). If you already run pedestals, match them, Checkpoint compatible systems are RF and Sensormatic compatible systems are AM (58 kHz), and the two do not mix. The Tags We Recommend for Bottles

Bottle tags lock around the neck or cap and come off only with a detacher at the register. Start with the Bottle and Sports Tag (8.2 MHz), it is reusable, so one box protects your shelves for years.
RF labels cover cases, boxed gift sets and mixers, applied to the packaging and deactivated at checkout. See the 400 Series barcode labels, they print a fake barcode so they blend in, and the round clear 700 Series labels for tight spots.
Hard tags handle non bottle merchandise like apparel and accessories, the Mini Clam Tag (8.2 MHz) clips on without a pin hole.

At the Register

Labels need an RF deactivator pad at each checkout so paid bottles leave quietly, and bottle tags need a detacher at the counter. Both take seconds per transaction.
